Within each of these processes, we are able to apply our vast experience and expertise of the construction industry to help you procure and develop the project and hopefully, and more importantly, become more profitable.

 

Tendering:

  • Tender selection, appraisal and preparation of tender packages
  • Prepare and develop preliminary cost plan, and prepare appropriate documentation such as programmes
  • Attend design team meetings, with the client and members of the design team when required and monitor cost implications
  • Prepare appropriate documentation, if required, to adjust the tender received to an acceptable contract sum
  • Reconciliation and ratification of client tender documentation with contractor documentation to ensure contract documentation is correct.

 

Live Project:

  • Ensure that construction activities are planned, managed and monitored in a way that supports the project objectives and reflects best practice
  • Advise client of all client instructions that may alter the agreed cost plan
  • Value Engineer cost during design development to ensure all cost targets are maintained
  • Maintain good cash flow and the timely receipt of payments from the employer
  • Procurement and management of orders when jobs are live and monitoring throughout contract periods
  • Prepare recommendations for interim payments to contractors, subcontractors  and suppliers in accordance with contract requirements
  • To be responsible for the planning, programming, resourcing, monitoring, progress reporting and achievement of goals (cost and programme) for the work under his/ her responsibility
  • Advise on use and/or amendment of standard forms of contact of contribute to drafting of particular requirements in association with the client’s legal advisers
  • Prepare and negotiate claims for extensions of time and reimbursement of loss and expense
  • Minimise costs of a project and enhance value for money while achieving the required standards and quality
  • Prepare cost report updates in agreed format at specified intervals including any allocations of cost and/ or copies as requested by thirds
  • Liaison with client and employer, consultants, project management teams, site managers via weekly or monthly progress meetings.

 

End of Project

  • Prepare final Accounts

  • Provide input into the conduct of any dispute resolution procedures such as mediation, adjudication, arbitration, litigation etc
